The functions of Human Resources Department are numerous and entails a lot of duties and responsibilities. Which includes under mention functions.
- The chief function among the HRD is staff management to perform their duties and responsibilities as required by law through motivation, facilitations and enforcement of regulations.
- In charge of recruitment of staff: The department oversees recruitment of new staff for the assembly when there’s a vacancy or for a need for new staff to be recruited.
- In charge of Promotion: It is the duty of the HR to make sure all staff are promoted when their time of promotion is due.
- Monitoring and Disciple: The department oversees monitoring and disciple whenever the staff go wayward or contractually to the law.
- Leave Management: It is the duty of the HR department makes sure that every staff goes on a compulsory leave at least once a year.
- In Charge of staff Welfare: The department is also in charge of staff welfare, motivation, and incentives packages for effective discharge of their duties.
- Staff Validation: The department is also in charge of staff validation or payment of staff salaries as entails by law monthly.
