To provide an excellent service delivery that ensures fair socio-economic opportunities for the development of its citizens.
Mission of The Assembly
To improve the living standards of the people in the District through the effective and efficient mobilization of resources for the implementation of programmes, projects and activities to resolve identified development gaps.
Governance
The AASEDA derives its authority as the highest administrative and political body exercising deliberative, legislative and executive functions from the Local Governance Act, 2016, Act 936 and was established by Legislative Instrument 2324, November, 2017.

The District Chief Executive for Ahafo Ano South-East District Assembly, Hon. Issaka Yamba Nelson, has cut the sod for the construction of a 60,000-cubic-litre mechanised borehole for the Ahwerewam community, in a move aimed at addressing the acute water crisis facing residents.
Ahafo Ano South East District Assembly Elects New Presiding Member
In accordance with section 17 of the local governance act, 2016 (Act 936) and order 9 of the model standing orders, for District Assemblies, the Ahafo Ano South East District Assembly convened a meeting sole purpose of electing a presiding member. The meeting was called by the district coordinating director Mr Daniel Fofie on Wednesday 8th April 2026 at exactly 10:00 am at the district assembly hall.
The total number of elected assembly members are 21 whilst 10 members are government apointees were all present.
In attendance were, the District Chief Executive(DCE), the District Coordinating Director, the electoral officers, the magistrate all heads of departments and invited guests.
The district coordinating director called meeting to order and explained the legal basis and importance of electing presiding member to preside over Assembly meetings and ensure orderly deliberations.

AASEDA DISBURSED ITEMS IN CASH AND IN KIND TO PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITY ( PWDS ) FOR 2025

The Ashanti Regional Minister paid a visit to Ahafa Ano South East and check all current ongoing and completed project.
His Excellence John Dramani Mahama was emerge as the winner of the Presidency during the December 7th election for 2024. The exercise was carried out peaceful and credible.

About Us
The District is endowed with natural resources such as agricultural lands, mineral deposits, forest reserves, water resources and tourist sites. The mineral resources are made up of gold and bauxite. The gold deposits are mined through small scale mining and the rest remained unutilised.
