Water SOD Cutting

Ahafo Ano South East DCE and MP Cut Sod for Major Water Infrastructure Project.
The Ahafo Ano South East District Assembly, in collaboration with the Member of Parliament for the area, has officially commenced a major water infrastructure project aimed at improving access to clean and safe drinking water for residents in ten beneficiary communities across the district.
The project was inaugurated with a sod-cutting ceremony led by the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Ibrahim Yamba Nelson, and the Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Yakubu Mohammed. The ceremony was witnessed by traditional authorities (Nananom), assembly members, community leaders and residents, who gathered to mark the beginning of what has been described as a transformative intervention in rural water supply.

About Us

The District is endowed with natural resources such as agricultural lands, mineral deposits, forest reserves, water resources and tourist sites. The mineral resources are made up of gold and bauxite. The gold deposits are mined through small scale mining and the rest remained unutilised.
